Sub-Question: How does using a collaborative blog increase students’ recognition and understanding of social studies vocabulary?
Answer: My students were invited and encouraged to blog about different Social Studies and Science concepts, using KidBlog. This action research revealed that students do not benefit educationally from blogging about vocabulary, but that their sense of classroom unity increased through collaborative blogging and discussions. I have included my action research paper.
After completing teacher research this semester, I realized that not all research is successful. I figured out that I can learn as much when my research is not successful as I learn when it is successful.
